Kensington Arts Theatre has come to the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of our 2020-2021 season through May, including our spring musical Pippin. This was not an easy decision to make, but in the end we believe it is for the best. We miss creating and enjoying art with everyone and are looking forward to coming back strong for our 20th Anniversary season.

Of Mice and Men Cancelled
It is with great disappointment that we are forced to cancel our live production Of Mice and Men. Please continue to protect yourself from the virus, and we hope to enjoy live theatre with everyone again soon.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
We have come to the difficult decision to cancel Matilda the Musical this fall. Our priority is the safety of cast, crew, and patrons and unfortunately at this time, we do not feel we can adequately tend to everyone’s safety and still present this show in the manner it deserves.
Of Mice and Men and Pippin will go on as planned. Thank you to everyone who signed up to audition for Matilda. We hope to be able to work with you again very soon.
Community Theatre Thrives

“We need theatre in our communities, and right now, community theatre needs us.” Jolene Vettese, President of Reston Community Players
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, community theatre companies in the Washington, DC metropolitan area will come together July 17-18 to raise crucial funds via a live-streamed telethon. Fourteen community theatres from around the greater DC region will participate in the telethon, sharing performances and messages from their members with viewers.
Black Lives Matter
Dear Friends,
Black Lives Matter.
Every single one is precious. We see you and we are listening. We join you in admonishing the violence against and grieving the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and the innumerable others who have lost their lives due to the color of their skin.
