KAT Junior returns to the stage next March with Disney’s The Lion King JR!

About Winter 2018’s Experience:

Young actors, singers and dancers rising into grades 6-9 are invited to audition for, rehearse, and perform Disney’s The Lion King JR.  During rehearsals, Kensington Arts Theatre (KAT) Junior participants will also learn about and explore many aspects of the theatre.  KAT staff and guest artists will be teaching auditioning workshops, costume design/creation, mindfulness/yoga practices, and stage make-up, making the summer a comprehensive theatrical experience that helps prepares students for future productions.  All-inclusive tuition is $750 for the five week production.

KAT Junior is also seeking older students to volunteer in such positions as Assistant Director, Assistant Stage Manager, and Stage Crew.

Auditions: December 2017 TBA

Students can audition individually for principal and featured roles or choose to audition in a small group for casting in the ensemble.  Audition scenes will be provided in advance, but they do not need to be memorized.  A song will be taught to all participants at the audition.
