We are saddened to share the news that another member of our KAT family, Ruth Orland, has passed away. Ruth always made herself available to all, to help or just to listen. She was the Stage Manager for our epic Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and if that wasn't the work of a saint, I don't know what is. She also stage managed Steel Magnolias and co-produced No Sex Please, We're British. Her steady presence will be handsomely missed. Rest in Peace, Mama Ruth.

Donations in Ruth's memory can be made to the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases Foundation (www.aasld.org/) or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (www.komen.org/).

Last week we lost another friend, Hans Dettmar, after a long illness. You may remember Hans on our stage as Sweeney Todd, but we will also remember him as a kind, funny, and generous man. He was the epitome of quiet leadership. We will miss the light he brought to all our lives. Our thoughts are with his wife Marianne, and his family.
